Riccardo Maria Monti

Riccardo Maria Monti serves as an Advisor for EKN Development’s Europe office, where he offers guidance on international strategy and expansion. With a career spanning over three decades, Riccardo has held leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, contributing to global projects in finance, telecommunications, infrastructure, and manufacturing across more than 40 countries.

As President of theItalian Trade Agency (ICE) from 2012 to 2016, he spearheaded initiatives to promote Italian businesses internationally and attract foreign investments. He also led the final phase of Grandi Stazioni’s privatization and has overseen numerous large-scale projects financed by international institutions. A former Executive Director at Value Partners Group, Riccardo transformed the company into Italy’s leading multinational professional services firm.

Riccardo holds a degree in Economics and Commerce from the University of Naples, where he graduated with honors and received publication of his thesis. He furthered his education with a Research Fellowship in International Management at ColumbiaUniversity and a Master’s in Management of Technology from Brooklyn Polytechnic in New York.
