The historic Grand Hotel of San Pellegrino has officially entered its next chapter. Following a state waiver of preemption rights, the Superintendency has confirmed it will not intervene in the redevelopment — clearing the way for EKN Development to begin its transformative restoration of the landmark.
The €64 million project will revitalize the long-shuttered property into a world-class luxury hotel managed by an international chain. Construction is expected to start soon, with reopening anticipated between 2028 and 2029.
